Manager, Marketing Partnerships Solutions

NYRR’s Partnership Marketing department is responsible for generating and garnering corporate revenue, value and promotion for NYRR in exchange for marketing and advertising benefits to its partners.  The department seeks to match the needs of NYRR with the partners’ and their various objectives.  NYRR’s needs include cash, as well as value-in-kind products and services, which help to reduce NYRR’s expenses, and partner marketing/promotional support, which helps to build the NYRR brand and expand the audience.  In addition to bringing in revenue, the Partnership Marketing department ensures that NYRR delivers on its obligations to its partners.
 

Responsibilities: 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Platform & Idea Development
    • Oversight of customized marketing and advertising solutions for new business prospects and current partners
    • Building of partnership concepts and solutions
    • Participation in external prospect/partner calls to aid sales process (i.e., clarify objectives/areas of interest, present custom ideas, build rapport)
    • Setting of clear goals and processes, including ownership of gaining internal alignment
  • Creative Development
    • Creation of professional collateral based on concepts and other projects (i.e., proposals, sales materials, recaps, etc.)
    • Ownership of calendar of creative projects
  • Other
    • Maintenance of strong relationships with all NYRR internal departments across multiple business line, to drive strategic, operational and event planning activities

Secondary Responsibilities (supporting counterpart in the department)

  • Research
    • Internal expert in both domestic and international sports properties, brand activations and research studies
    • Development of research tools (case studies, fan demographics, ROO/ROI)
    • Oversight of relationships with external research vendors, including Scarborough, Repucom and Turnkey
  • Asset Management & Timelines
    • Identification of available inventory and management of asset allocation
    • Development of overall event and project timelines
Requirements: 

Skills and Attributes:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in a strategic business development, sales or account management role
  • Excellent writing skills, Word and Powerpoint skills
  • Experience with development and use of Salesforce or other CRM system
  • Experience developing thoughtful, customized presentations and proposals
  • Solid presentation skills
  • Effective in identification of insights
  • Ability to create vision and to articulate strategy
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment
  • Energy and enthusiasm for NYRR’s mission and growth initiatives
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Flexibility and ability to simultaneously work on a number of projects
  • Ability to work early mornings, late nights and weekends as needed
