On Sunday, March 19, boys and girls ages 7-18 will have the chance to stop traffic in Times Square while they run a thrilling 1500 meters (nearly a mile) in one of New York City's most iconic locations!
This three-season program includes cross country, indoor track, and road running, and because the races feature kid-friendly distances ranging from three-quarters of a mile to two miles, they're perfect for youngsters of all fitness levels. Kids typically run with their age and gender group, and all races are timed and scored.
Youth ages 7-21 are invited to learn about the fundamentals of wheelchair racing, including proper control, pushing, and track rules.
NYRR Run for the Future provides a fun, free way for New York City high school girls to get fit, develop leadership skills, and earn money for college!
The NYRR Developmental Track & Field Series is a free program for New York City public schools. Kids at all levels learn about track and field and compete in borough and city meets throughout the spring.
These free one-day wellness events combine track and field events with a family health fair. Kids in grades K-12 are invited to enjoy activities including sprints, relays, long jump, and shot put.
