Hey Brooklyn, R-U-N? This July, challenge your friends to take part in our version of a summer evening happy hour—a 3.1 mile loop in Prospect Park.
Stick around after the race for lawn games like corn hole, giant checkers, and giant Jenga. After all that, you can head out of the park for drink specials at select Brooklyn establishments—stay tuned for more information on post-race deals.
Event hashtag: #BKr_u_n5K—use it in your tweets, Instagrams, and Facebook posts!
Live unofficial results are available during the race at liveresults.nyrr.org and in the NYRR app. Features include leaderboards, map tracking, and an individual runner search that can be shared on Facebook and Twitter. Tell your friends and family to follow your progress, and get unofficial results right after the race!
A portion of this event's proceeds supports NYRR’s mission to help and inspire people through running, and benefits NYRR’s youth and community programs.
The 3.1-mile course takes place entirely within Prospect Park.
Mile 1: Start on West Drive near Prospect Park Lake, and continue around the lake via East Drive.
Mile 2: Head north on East Drive, reaching the two-mile mark just beyond the hill near Grand Army Plaza.
Mile 3: Follow East Drive as it becomes West Drive. Near the end of mile three, continue down the hill and turn left toward the finish just inside of Center Drive.
